Born in Isola della Scala on 21 December 1984, Fabio attended Verona’s Liceo Artistico Nani-Boccioni and then obtained his first degree (scoring 110/110 with honours) in Design from Verona Accademia di Belle Arti, defending his thesis Il Packaging Musicale, Storia e Nuove Proposte [Musical Packaging, History and New Idea].
Pursuing the professional and artistic career as photographer and graphic artist he had already begun some time before, he obtained a post-graduate degree in Photography at Milan’s Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, defending his thesis Alla Ricerca della Poesia e della Lirica nell’Arte [In Search of Poetry and Opera in Art], scoring 110/110 with honours.
At the same time, he was working with designer and colour consultant Massimo Caiazzo, photographers Joe Oppedisano and Mauro Fiorese, the “Out sider art” curator Daniela Rosi, art historian Anna Maria Amonaci, and many organizations and companies, including Verona-based La Vetrolux, Oriongraph in Montorio, Ca’ di David’s Emax Sicurezza, and the Municipality of Sezano’s Monastero del Bene.
His unique combination of art and creative working has allowed him to produce his own photo books and catalogues for artists, including Bruno Novelli Fontanesi, Bruno Gandola and many others.
He made his debut in 2011 at the Venice Biennale, exhibiting at the Italian Pavilion in the Accademie di Belle Arti section curated by Vittorio Sgarbi. He then exhibited at Venice’s Galleria Traghetto as part of the Racconti di Cose exhibition, curated by Elena Povelato.
At the same time, he taught photography and graphics at the Liceo Artistico Nani-Boccioni and at the Verona Centro Servizi Volontariato for several years, and still teaches individual courses.
